The Association's membership is comprised of health professionals who are directly involved in or have a special interest in the field of transplantation. Members include:
  • allied health professionals involved with transplant recipients and Clinical Coordinators, responsible for the care of organ and tissue recipients
  • Coordinators, accountable for the coordination of all aspects of the donation, retrieval and the post-transplant process, play the important role of counseling and advising the potential organ donor family or recipients and their families
  • ICU and OR nurses who are invaluable in donor identification, maintenance, and retrieval
  • Laboratory Technicians who conduct an endless number of tests and
  • many other allied health professionals.

The success of transplantation is dependent on the coordinated efforts of a multi-disciplinary team. As transplantation becomes an expected modality of treatment for patients with end-stage organ failure, CAT members play a pivotal role in the success of the transplant process. CAT members continue to deliver high quality care, always maintaining respect for human dignity regardless of sex, race, creed, colour, or religious beliefs.
