An Act (National Organ Donor Week Act) respecting a National Organ Donor Week in Canada was given Royal Assent on February 19, 1997. The purpose of this Act is to ensure that, in each and every year, the last full week of April is known as “National Organ Donor Week.” The sponsor of Bill C-202 was Mr. Dan McTeague.
